I usually hike alone, but this time it was different. Meta joined me on a tour to Cima di terrarossa. And I must admit it is nicer to experience mountains in such a great company in comparison to being alone.
Cima di terrarossa is 2420m high. The mountain is located on the long crest, that starts with Iof di Montasio (Montaž) and continues over Špik nad Nosom / Foronon del Buinz to Špik nad Špranjo / Modeon del Buinz .
The south slopes are steep and grassy, on some places also rocky and airy. Over this slopes goes the normal route. The north side is totally different. Almost 1000 meters big wall falls to the valley Zajzera / Valbruna.
The weather was perfect, without a single cloud during the ascent. We were surrounded with great views on the way up. Rock goats were keeping us company the whole time.
It was really a superb hike that ended with a quick refreshing swim in cold water of lake Raibl near Predil pass.
