Volovja reber is situated on the edge of Snežnik plateau from where you can even see Julian Alps and Dolomites. Vast plains with enormous number of different animal species, some of them even endangered. It really is a true hidden gem of Slovenia . Destroying it would be a mistake and a great loss for all of us.

After almost one month of work connected with our new appartment, it was time to shoe the hiking boots. Since we moved to another part of our country, it was obvious that we have to explore the surroundings. We decided to ascent on Mali Golak, the highest peak of Trnovski gozd.
The windy road through unknown region brought us to the start of our hike, little village Predmeja. From there it is a pleasant walk to Iztok hut bellow Golacs and then to the top of Mali Golak. The weather was almost perfect, almost because of the strong wind that was blowing all the way. But it did not spoil the joy that we had on the top: a nice view on the sea, the Dolomites in Italy and the Julian alps in Slovenija.
Its good to be back in the nature again.

A long awaited weekend on Pokljuka finally came. It was like I dreamt it would be. Snow, freedom from care, night walks, … Sitting in a warm room with a hot cup of tea in hands. Never-to-be-forgotten.
The Miramare Castle is a 19th century castle, built for Archduke Maximilian and his wife, Charlotte of Belgium.
The castle is situated on the Gulf of Trieste. The castle’s grounds include an extensive cliff and seashore park of 22 hectares.
Socerb Castle, lies is the village with the same namein Slovenia, south of the Italian city of Trieste. It is perched on the edge of a 300 meters high rock and offers a wonderful view of the Koper and Trieste Gulfs. It was an important stronghold in Illyrian times, modified into a fortress in the Roman period.
